Has Gov Okowa done well to return to as governor of Delta state in 2019?

A few days ago, former governor of Delta State, Chief James Onanefe Ibori expressed overwhelming support for the second tenure of the SMART GOVERNOR of Delta State, Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa.

The political leader who was special guest of honour at the trade and exhibition event organised by Delta State Government, said Gov Okowa has done well in barely two years and seven months, especially in infrastructure development and Youth  empowerment through vocational training, skills acquisition and financial support in steady fulfilment of his administration’s Prosperity for All Deltans mantra.

“Your Excellency the Governor of Delta State (Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa), my job is very simple. I will continue to pray for you and your administration because of your tremendous achievements so far.

“I am particularly happy that you focused on providing jobs for our youth. When you and I must have gone, they are the ones that will be here to take over from us. They are certainly the leaders of tomorrow.

“I deeply appreciate your administration’s huge investments in our youth, which is why I am here today to give you my support and to say that you have truly done well. Deltans did not make any mistake in voting you as their governor. You have lived up to expectations and you deserve my support and sincere commendations.

“I am one of your subjects and as such I have my constitutional rights to have a say in the affairs of Delta State.  Hear this, you have done well; your eight (8) years shall be celebrated at the end of it all.

“You (Gov Okowa) will return to be our governor in 2019, and I am pretty sure that I am speaking for the vast majority of eligible voters in Delta State.’’
